I was in a thrift store in Prescott that had a picture of, I believe, 3 indian ladies wrapped in their blankets, back shot, very colorful, on I think water color paper.
Is this you? Was signed Lana Gordon-Rast 1987
Could you please confirm.
I think they had a price of $35 on the pic. & the colors are so happy. I was going to buy & then hesitated not knowing of the artist.
Yes that probably is my work. I lived in Arizona from 1958 through 1995. I did a lot of art festivals from 1985 through 1995, mostly with the Thunderbird Artists. I did do Limited Editions prints of my work also. If it is a print it should have my signature in pencil as well. I truely hope you enjoy it. I also lived in Paulden, Az for a couple of years but mostly lived near Peoria. Thanks , Lana
I have a framed copy of a piece of art work that is numbered and titled ” Santa Fe Blankets” and it appears to be signed in pencil and dated 1992. I found it in Apache Junction, Az and it is in great shape. Can you tell me what the sold for new?
Thank you for your interest in my art. Santa Fe Blankets is a limited edition of 450 prints the image size is 12 1/2″ by 18″. As for the price it was probably between $150.00 and $200.00 depending on how it was framed, the print itself was about $60.00. I used to do a lot of art festivals in Arizona and also my art sold through frame shops and galleries. I lived in Arizona from 1958 thru 1995, my family and I moved to Missouri in 1995 and I have not done a lot of art festivals since. However I am trying to work towards having my art licensed for fabrics etc. What I really miss about doing the festivals other than the other artists is meeting people like yourself that are interested in art. I still have some of my prints left if you are interested. Thank you for contacting me and I truely hope you enjoy the art. Sincerely, Lana
Our prayers go out to all of you and those effected by bad weather in the month of May 2011. I’ll email you a photo of my family since we last seen you. How are your sisters, husband and kids. We like your artwork. I like to collect silver coins and sell after time and appreciating. May the Lord protect you all.
